U.S. Montgomery Land Office - daily record of receipts, 1908-1912.

District land office Receivers were responsible for all financial transactions relating to the sale of public lands. They issued receipts when land was purchased and when payments were made. This series, daily record of receipts, continues and combines the following previous series: Receivers' registers of receipts, registers of final homestead receipts, registers of homestead receipts. Each entry includes the date, the serial number, the receipt number, the name and address of the purchaser, the kind of application made, the amount received, the date applied, and date returned. This series documents the work of the District land office Receivers and provides information about individuals obtaining land in the Montgomery Land District.
